No lies, salary cannot be raised and people on H-4 cannot work. The article is right.
What I don't get is where they got that the Sept 18 rally will see 5000 of us attending? That's way too little guys, we need at least double that!
Will we even have 5000 people??? I will be (pleasantly) surprised if we do!
Too bad most of us think this rally is a waste of time. I hope they wake up and realize that doing nothing and waiting for their GCs will be an even bigger waste of time if they lose their job 3 years down the line!

Lou Dobbs is playing to the galleries. The galleries are filled with people like him who are waiting for the sound bytes. The frenzy will keep increasing until it reaches crescendo like the NAZI campaigns. So we need to direct part of our media campaign towards stopping these lies. The only way we will get out coverage is to go out against the big ones and make the noise. We need to get all the ravings of Lou against the legal immigrants every sound byte , every word he uttered against legal tax paying wannabe immigrants( no nationality restrictions). If all of us unite and make a move against him it will make CNN see reason or Lou to talk facts and not the fiction he talks about us.

Nice story :) I had a clause in my first contract that I had to work for a company at least for 6 months or I will have to reimburse all H1B-related expenses. Well, I left the company and when the company's president called me, just told him to get lost. Never heard from him again. Looking back, I should've sued the company because it did not pay me full salary for the first month while I was on the "bench" (searching for a contract). Well, I am just too lazy :)

Also, It is a big concern for me when when some EB visa holder's kid age out and is left out of the process. If someone can show me that this so called dream act will help in that, i will support it and do my part.

We are not sure of the chronology of events such as your wife's pregnancy, Your job change, your insurance start date. If you guys had individual insurance before your wife's conceiving, insurance cannot deny coverage as pre existing condition. Make sure you put these events in a time line and rule out the possibility of coverage. if you have done so, you have to explore other options.
As far as changing job is concerned, make sure your job requirement matches the same and similar concept. If you have used AC21, why not use it one more time? Of course, your PD and other personal issues might be stopping you from doing so. But if you are just thinking about using AC21 again, dont worry. Talk to a good attorney and drink the kool aid again.
The easiest way to get through this is to get under group coverage. I will let you know if there is any way you can sneak into group coverage. but the one I can think right on top of my head is joining an employer with health insurance

removal of ROW spill-over must be in anticipation of the dam burst expected when the BECS finally cross pass the april 30 PDs ( ROW being a big majority of these applications).
We need to look at what the BECs are doing and where they are wrt apr 2001 apps. I believe they are almost past it or in the thick of it. there would be a 3-4 month lag since a lot of these guys are going through recruitment.
That will tell us whether we are seeing the worst or if it can get worse.

I applied on May18 for I-140 and will be applying to I485 soon.. and would get EAD...so what happens to EAD and AP...I cant beleive they are

I believe pre adjudicated means, most of the processing is done, and waiting for the visa number availability.
Nothing will happen for you on the info pass, hopefully you will come back with a good news.

May Visa Bulletin is out. EB3 ROW and Philippines seem to have moved by 1 year.
Even bigger news is that "Other Workers" have become Unavailable for the whole world.
It furthers strengthens the theory that good number of 245i's are EW category and not in the regular EB3 category.
This hypothesis is further supported by the fact that all EB3 dates have been sustained above May 1st for a few months now.

Well USCIS withdrew the Q&A they posted on their website for revision.
I hope they don't plan to screw the remaining name-check sufferers again.
They have been approving some of them in the past few days (and neither according to PD or RD, basically no FIFO, just based on officers whims)

I was trying to fill up AP e-filing form. As I do not have a Middle Name, I didn't eneter anything in the Middle Initial field. It does not allow me to submit the form and shows the following error:

Did anyone else encounter the same error and how did you resolve it?

I believe Mbhai did a dis-service by negating good advice. What is the guarantee that the 2nd women that this guy marries will not ask for divorce? The best thing he can do is find a way to reconcile, unless there is marital infidility.

I disagree with the first part of your statement. There are no guarantees in life. But, giving unsolicited advice especially without knowing what happened in their marital life is no good. Only he and his spouse would know what happened and it is completely up to them to decide what is good for them. He has clearly told in his post that he has given his best and it is at a point of no return. Only people who go thru this grueling experience can understand how hard it is.
