I don't see what's wrong with this requirement. It's always been a requirement in PA. If someone can't produce an employment letter, it's probably because he is on the bench or unemployed and that makes him out of status. If you are out of status, you are ineligible for a driver's license.

I have contacted Sheela Murthy's Office and Rajiv Khanna's Office.
Both of them are very very expensive.

Iam in the similar situation, but my wife came here only last month on H4. My GC was approved yesterday. Now I have all the documents ready for my wife's GC application to be sent to USCIS. My lawyer also told me to immediately mail the application to USCIS since I did not receive my GC on hand yet.
My concern is will my wife's application get rejected since my I485 has been approved? Pls help!
I guess since you got Married before your GC Got approved, you should be fine. Your PD,RD and ND,Service Center Please?? Did your NC get cleared?

you should probably correct ur sentence "... and obviously every one is as anxious as others to get their papers (fedexed) filed on time, fedexing it will not alone guarantee your filing.

Yeah I get that the money will be transferred from the Social security system here to the Indian Govt system.
My point is it does not do a damn thing for us workers personally. That money will dissapear into a dark hole in the Indian Gov't coffers instead of a dark hole here, further as the rules stand, I have a slim chance of getting the money from here through social security payments when I turn 65 even if I am in India. Try that within the money in Indian gov't hands.
On the other hand, it makes the Indian gov't allign with corporate america, as they all have a vested interest in a Temp. worker program such as H1b absent green cards. Which will be a win win for all concerned except us.
So I repeat my question..................Why is this good again?

There is no such law that specifies any duration one has to be employed by GC (or AC-21) employer. Period.
However, there is a twist to it. As per law, the beneficiary MUST have intent to work for GC employer at the time of filing of I-485 and intent to work for AC-21 employer if invoking AC-21. However, this intent is to start work AFTER getting green card. The intent is subject to change, too.

i read on some lawyers website that everytime he/she's filed an AC21 letter to show change of jobs he's gotten an RFE for the petitioner.
so that is why many lawyers recommend against sending any notification to USCIS regarding job change using AC21.
Going back to the supplemental AC21 memo:
Imagine an IO who has a very bad mood for the day. Then he receives an AC21 letter for the case he is processing and saw that the i-140 of the person is not yet approved.

It is for all those people (the indian diaspora) who do log on to the online versions of their hometown newspapers to check local Indian news, it might be a pleasant surprise to see the news abt the rally out there!!!
Secondly won't you be inclined to be a part of the rally when your mom or dad friend or a cousin read the news back home and asked you " are you a part this movement" imagine all the non commital people saying ummm ummmm food for thought bloke!!:rolleyes:

This is not the case for me....but during a discussion with my attorney and other friends contacts they said if you do not attach the medicals now you may get RFE at a later stage...which you can resolve it.
I bet any RFE can be articulated with reason by attorney if they are smart enough.
This is something I heard...but do not hold me on that. Please check with your attorney too and make a decesion.

Also your wife is already in home country, she can get all the shots required there. best option is for her to prepone her travel if possible. yet another option is for you to go ahead and file yours first and add her later. I do not get it.
As far as I know, a CP applicant can always switch over to AOS if already inside the US. It is harder for an AOS applicant to switch to CP.
You will have to make a choice. Do you want the benefits of CP or AOS? The way things are presently, you cannot have both. So pick one.
But the PD has to be current to switch over.

The discussion seems to be focused on getting a certification to add to your resume. I am a PMP too, have delivered several small projects.
I think whether you are a PM or a developer, PMP is a good step to understanding and appreciating the business value of what you are doing as a techie.
It is not just a certification but a way of thinking.
It applies to everything in your life not just your work......
Treating it like a commodity isn't the best way to look at it.

Thats true..everybody are bothered about EAD and FP. I am here for more than 8 years in this country. IV should emphasise this and USICS should allow affected candidates like us to file I-485 and atleast get EAD. we have priority date earlier compared to others.

Let us see if we can get at least 200 people who vote on this. Many the great souls are talking about complaining to USCIS about EB1s getting GCs using shortcuts. Some of them suggested LET US write to ombudsman office and USCIS & blah blah. Let us see how many folks come forward and vote for this.

because of the abuse of H1 & L1 by these companies, people who have actual job offers in U.S are not able to apply for H1b. These companies do a kind of visa gouging wherein, they get H1b approved and stamped for all the people they have on payroll in their offshore centers whether they are needed here or not and then, send them when they projects. This is nothing but visa gouging by this companies and abuse of the intent of H1 & L1. Although the bill has gone too far and tried to penalize everybody but instead it should look at stopping the visa gouging
