Preponing visa interview without very valid reason cud be harmful. u never know, if they catch ur wife telling a lie then ull be walking on thin ice.
I disagree with this statement. Your most compelling argument of preponing your visa interview is that they have opened slots which were not earlier available and you would like to finish this process and keep some time incase some additional documentation was required, you would have the time to get it. Also, there is NO RULE that says you cannot prepone appointment.
Also, I suggested you get a fresh appointment at Mumbai (your original appointment was in Chennai - correct?)

we all suffer, waiting for the administration/immigration policies to be humane to us..but honestly they've only gotten worse every year. the only good thing was the july bulletin but that also was becoz of the pressure from the big companies who'd already paid big bucks for immigration/attorney fees.
honestly here or back home no one really cares...we will get old, die tryin' perhaps but its true "might is right" and that is how the US embassy treats us.

I have entered all my details in the forum and send the same details to IV Virginia Chapter.
In other words i'm a fully registered member with IV Virginia state chapter.
If you have red my posting clearly, I wrote, I don't bother about RED's/Green's.
I was hurt for the using bad language by an IV member on a matured immigration forum.

This is by far THE MOST RIDICULOUS suggestion on this forum I have come across.
Sorry man, this wont work for ANYONE out here. We have been waiting since TWO AND A HALF Years to file and now you want us to wait for 15 more days only to realize that USCIS may actually yank the rug out under us. I mean think about it, we will all feel like MONUMENTAL FOOLS if that happens. Try explaining THAT to your spouse who has been waiting for 2 years or more to apply and get an EAD. I know mine would KILL me if i even suggested that to her ;)

Are you sure he is not going to mess up ur case because u filed using a different law firm against his wishes.
You only can answer the above question. If u think there is a possibilty that he will mess it up, Dont go with a different law firm.
Talk to him and see what he needs.
I do have copy of labor approval but I donot have copy of job description that they filed for labor. I also have copy of 140 approval.
I don't think I can get letters from HR (there are couple of people who handles everything from getting timesheets to posting payslips) as they very loyal to my employer.
Then I guess my only options are
- give it a try to file through another attorney with paystubs and without employer letter.
- forget about $5000 and proceed.

Try getting info from any other consulate...you will feel the same.... I used to feel the same until I dealt with UK / French /Italian consulates for tourist visa....it was as horrible...

I am in a similar situation and have a very simple question. Can I port from EB3 to EB2, while on EAD? I do not have a valid H1. AFAIK porting needs re-filing a labor application, hence the confusion.

Is this something to be concerned of, Absolutely. USCIS should release the monthly statistics of approvals in each category.

June 03 was the cutoff in June 07 and after that it hasn't crossed Nov 01 ever, till date. Very weird.

if there is demand for some skill it will be given 50 times the salary of others.. if somebody wants to migrate he will find ways.. now being IT worker is best way to migrate to developed countries. It tells me to get the hell out of here and go back home. Pay Rs. 200 to that guy sitting outside dmv in India and get permit to drive. There is a limit to greed. If it becomes too inconvenient then I will be first one to leave this hellhole. I came here to live convenient life. If things here are inconvenient as compared to India then whats the point. You just get one life and you want to spend it struggling to get your right to drive? I sometimes don't understand myself for what am I doing here.
