What OS are you running and version and how did you get it to look that good?
It's Ubuntu Linux, with the Ambience Refined (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Ambiance+Refined?content=125686) theme, Android fonts and the GNOME Do dock replacing the standard GNOME bottom panel. The desktop calender is Rainlendar Pro (which is also available for OS X) and syncs nicely with Google Calendar, so it pushes events to my iPhone. It's a really tasty setup if I'm honest, if I didn't need Logic, I'd be tempted to switch totally from OS X.

It's now half term for us UK students, and i'm trying to calm myself down after a very stressful half term! So here peace central (With a bit of Beethovens Waldstein playing in the background) :rolleyes:

The solution is to get management using Macs.
I'm lucky to be working for a company whose founders are Mac addicts. Everything works on a Mac; as a side effect, 99% is available to Linux users too since Apple is good at keeping to standard protocols (we have been forced onto MS Online Exchange which is okay with the Mac these days, but without IMAP enabled everyone else is screwed over).
Basically because Macs have been here since day one, nearly 10 years ago, there has been no question of legacy Windows systems or adopting technology that Mac clients can't work with.
We were recently bought out by a large corporate. There were moves to standardise onto Windows laptops out of cost concerns. A free 17" 2010 MBP was found for the guy who came in from the corporation to reorganise us and, like magic, Macs are back on the purchase lists.
Saying that, a previous company I worked with didn't have any legacy issues either, but was founded with a MSDN subscription in hand. Therefore, because there was all this 'free' software available, they got locked into using it. It simply wasn't possible to gain traction with Mac or Linux or anything non-Windows there.

The terms of your contract have not changed.

I'm on the 450 minute plan, and I have 1770 roll over minutes. I've stuck w/the 450 plan, mostly cus almost everyone I call is on AT&T (I switched from Verizon, and saved a boatload, since it's just me on the plan). In the 4 years I've been with AT&T, I've only ever gone into my roll over minutes *twice*. They always end up expiring on me.
Text messaging & the (grandfathered unlimited) data plan are far more valuable to me.

Hit command-j at the desktop and you'll get something that looks like this. Check 'Show Item Info' and you're good to go. :)

I used to use FCP I found it to be overly complicated to do simple tasks. I manly focus on print design so I have not used it for several years.
Recently I have had to make several projects and I found that Premier CS5 was actually a very strong video editing package. It runs smooth, has a clean Adobe interface and everything worked out great.
While I like CS5, I absolutely hate Adobe due to their ultra crappy Indian based tech support. If you buy $10,000 worth of software from a company you don't expect them to charge you $39 just to talk to a person who is getting paid $1 per hour to read a script.

You will loose your rollover minutes if you reduce your rate plan, but not if you increase it. Yes, rollover minutes expire after a year.

If you have logic it has a tuner plugin. Garage band might, if not you could use google and find a 3rd party one, I'm sure there would be a free one out there.
