Corey Taylor and Steve Jones to perform with Duff McKagan's LOADED at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards
The 3rd installment of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards is just 1 week away, and the list of performers and attendees keeps growing. Its safe to assume that this will be the biggest Heavy Music award show in history. Hosted by Chris Jericho and DJed by Jamey Jasta, the event will take place on Wednesday April 20th (cough, cough, cough) at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles. For those of you who can't make it to this Metallic Heaven/Hell, VH1 Classic will be airing the awards show on Saturday May 28, 2011.
It was announced today that Corey Taylor (Slipknot & Stone Sour) and Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) will be performing with Duff McKagan's Loaded at the awards show. Here is the OFFICIAL press release:
"COREY TAYLOR, frontman of SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR and REVOLVER GOLDEN GOD AWARD nominee for the “Best Vocalist,” as well as STEVE JONES, legendary guitarist of the SEX PISTOLS, will make special guest appearances during the previously announced performance from DUFF McKAGAN’S LOADED at the third annual REVOLVER GOLDEN GODS AWARD SHOW presented by Epiphone®. TAYLOR and JONES will join the band for a furious cover of the JUDAS PRIEST classic song “Electric Eye.”
Additionally, this edition of the "Revolver Golden Gods Awards" features Mötley Crüe, who will be receiving the "Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award" and shock rock legend Alice Cooper, who will be receiving the "Golden God Award". Wait, there's more! This years awards show will be headlined by Avenged Sevenfold, additionally you can expect performances by: The reunited ORIGINAL Alice Cooper Group, Loaded(led by DUFF MCKAGAN of Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver), Devildriver (leading an All-Star tribute to Black Flag featuring Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed), Asking Alexandria (with a guest appearance by SEBASTIAN BACH), Volbeat, Fozzy and many more!
